Who Runs This Site

Open Houses in Los Angeles is an informational website run by Department of Search LLC. It lists upcoming open houses across Los Angeles County and publishes notes about the cities and neighborhoods it covers. It is not a real estate brokerage, and the author is not a licensed Realtor or Brokerage in the state of California.

Information This Site Collects

This site does not ask you to create an account and does not currently have any sign-up or contact forms. It collects information in these ways:

  • Hosting and security. The site is hosted by Hostinger and uses LiteSpeed Cache to serve pages quickly. Like most web hosts, Hostinger keeps server logs that can include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time of each request. These logs are used to run the site and block attacks.
  • Email you send. If you email the site, your message and email address are kept only to reply to you.

This site does not currently use analytics or advertising tools. If that changes, this policy will be updated before they are added.

How the Information Is Used

Information is used to run and secure the site and to reply to messages. It is not sold, rented or traded to anyone, it is not shared for advertising, and it is not used to contact you for sales purposes.

Listing Information and Outside Links

Open house details come from third-party sources, and listings can link to outside websites where the full listing is published. When you follow one of those links, you leave this site, and the other website’s privacy policy applies. This site does not control and is not responsible for the practices of outside websites.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The hosting and caching tools may use technical cookies to keep the site working and secure. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because this site does not track visitors across other websites or use advertising tools, it does not change its behavior in response to that signal.

How Long Information Is Kept

Server logs are kept according to the hosting provider’s retention settings. Emails are kept only as long as needed to reply.

This site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. These include the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to ask for a copy of it, to ask that it be corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
